The first evidences of beer production dates from the year 3500 B.C. From that moment on beer has been consumed in Egypt, in the Ancient Greece, in the Roman Empire and has carried to this day as the healthiest alcoholic drink together with wine. But be careful because beer, as any other alcoholic drink, has to be consumed in moderation. Beer consumption should be no more than one beer per day.

1- Because cold beer is perfect to cool down and escape the summer heat.

Beer contains a lot of water and besides it is a drink without fats and with a low content of sodium.

2- Because protects your heart.

Alcoholic drinks, beer included, consumed in moderation raises good cholesterol (HDL) levels. Besides, beer contains polyphenols, natural antioxidants that prevent heart diseases.

3- Because it keeps you young.

It has been scientifically proven that polyphenols slow down the aging process.

4- Because it relaxes you.

Beer contains hop which, among other things, has sedative properties and that is why it is effective in treating stress problems.

Beer is diuretic due to its high levels of potassium and its low content of sodium. That is, beer helps you to go to the bathroom and thus allows you to eliminate toxins from your body.

6- Because beer is not fattening.

Well, beer is fattening but much less than people think. This is because beer is relatively low calorie (45 calories per 100 ml). Besides, it has been proven that people who drink beer in moderation tend to eat less between meals and, specifically, they usually eat less sweet products.

7- Because it helps you to boost your immune system.

The consumption of beer in moderation, both men and women, causes a positive effect boosting and improving your immune system.

8- Because it helps to prevent some types of cancer.

The polyphenols in beer act as inhibitors of carcinogenic processes. Specifically, beer has the capacity to prevent and fight against the prostate, breast, colon and ovary cancer.

9- Because it helps you to digest better and to absorb the nutrients from food.

This is because beer has a lot of soluble fiber.

10- Because some beers are a true delicacy because of their delicious taste and desirable aroma.

There are an enormous variety of beers. Specifically, there are three main types of beer. These are top-fermenting (Ales, Altbeer, Special, Wheatbeers), bottom-fermenting (Lagers, Vienna, Marzen, Munich, Bock, Dopple Bock, Rauchbeer) and spontanious-fermenting beers (Lambics, Geuze, Faro, Kriek).



I like wheat beers. My favourite beers are Paulaner and Franziskaner. Both are beers of a lot of flavour and, above all, a lot of aroma. They are known as “white beers” because of its appearance in the glass, because these beers are cloudy, with a whitish color, and depending on the filtration the color will be more or less whitish.

For some reason I fell like drinking beer now 🙂 Ok, Tonight I´m going to watch soccer on TV with a very cold toast beer and some pistachios, the best combination ever! I love to enjoy these little details of life.
